These are general recommendations before a complex extraction. The doctor’s individual instructions always take priority.

How the procedure is performed

  • The doctor clarifies complaints and treatment goals.
  • An examination is performed; diagnostics if needed.
  • We discuss the plan and answer questions.
  • The procedure is performed with comfort monitoring.
  • At the end, we summarize and provide recommendations.

How long the appointment takes

  • Usually 30–60 minutes, depending on the scope of work.
  • In complex cases it may take longer; exact timing will be confirmed before starting.

How to prepare

3–7 days before

  • Get a CT scan or panoramic X-ray if it was prescribed.
  • Clarify your medication and test schedule, if required.
  • Reduce smoking if possible.

On the day of the procedure

  • Have a light meal 1–2 hours before.
  • Brush your teeth and use dental floss.
  • Do not smoke 2–3 hours before the visit.

What to bring with you

  • A list of medications and allergies.
  • Imaging (CT / panoramic), if available.
  • A contact phone number for an accompanying person, if needed.
If antibiotics or other medications are prescribed, start them only according to the doctor’s instructions.
