These are general recommendations before tooth extraction. The doctor’s individual instructions always take priority.

How the procedure is performed

How long the appointment takes

  • Usually 30–60 minutes, depending on the scope of work.
  • In complex cases it may take longer; exact timing will be confirmed before starting.

How to prepare

1–3 days before

  • Prepare imaging if you have it or if it was prescribed.
  • Do not change your regular medications without consultation.

On the day of the procedure

  • Have a light meal 1–2 hours before.
  • Brush your teeth and use dental floss.
  • Do not smoke 2–3 hours before the visit, if possible.

What to bring with you

  • A list of medications and allergies.
  • Imaging (CT/panoramic), if available.
  • A contact phone number.
If extraction under sedation is planned, follow the separate instructions (usually fasting is required).
